Hi,

I was wondering that what does sikhism say about ghosts and evil spirits. I personally don't really believe in any of them, since i never encountered any...or have any fear of them. Just curious.

In Sikhism, we actually do believe in ghosts...which are souls trapped in the hemisphere of the earth. Probably because of an attachment to the material world, they didn't proceed to go through the 5 ethers after death. Being stuck in this place is a very horrible situation. They have the pain of life, without the body of one. I suppose that evil spirits, as you call them, could be ghosts who are very angry and unhappy, as they probably were in life. At the time of death it is important to project to the ethers and not become stuck in the earth's plane. And, in life, it is important to prepare for the journey of death by training oneself in meditation and raising one's consciousness. GTKK
