Waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ka fatheh!
Hello. I just had a question that I discovered no one had asked in the forums, well I didn't see it there anyway. Oh, and this doesn't apply to me, I was just curious. So my question is: Are Sikhs allowed to go on dates with their fiancees? Nothing like sex or kissing, but like going to a restaurant or to the movies together. So I would really appreciate it if you got back to me. I know this isn't so important, I as just wondering.
Thanks alot!

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! The answer more depends on the fiances involved as well as their parents. There is nothing wrong from a SIKH perspective in spending time together such as in the examples you describe. I know a young woman who regularly dated her fiance eating out or going to a park with the blessing of her father. Her sister in law, however, was never allowed out of the house alone with her fiance.
