Summary of Question:Re: That Time Of The Month

I am the person who replied to the girl regarding use of tampons - what it does.

I am a math background person what I said is what I read on the insert in the tampon box. HSD interpretted correctly what I meant in reply to the guys response.
I do understand that membrane can be ruptured during vigorous exercise etc., I am not here to be a doctor. I was trying to be a mom here. Seems like sometimes anything one says has to be sliced and diced to their beliefs.
If the second persons reasoning for rupture is encouraging using of it so be it. I would still not recommend my daughter unless medically needed. I go to Sikh camps and I have seen a girl have bad side affect while using it (as the pamphlet says) but I have never seen a girl have bad reaction riding bike or doing exercise. So, please try to understand the underlying explanation.
So, to end HSD's interpretation was correct which was -

I agree that sex before marriage is forbidden in Sikhi. I interpretted "[if you] want to stay virgin (until marriage)" as "if you want to keep your membrane intact".

Gur Fateh,
HSD

At last it is your choice what you do not mine.

Sat Siri Akaal. Without seeing the original post....
Virginity is intact so long as no sexual penetration has occurred, period. Exercise, tampons, other things that rupture the membrane (a pelvic medical exam could do this too!) are not considered loss of virginity. NOR, might I add, does pre-sexual rupture necessarily make it 'easier' or more comfortable for a female to have sex for the first time. The choice of feminine product is indeed up to the female and is indeed one of personal preference.
