There are a couple of different ways to look at this. 1- Some times God and Guru give us challenges to test our faith. It is not good enough to have faith when things are going well in our lives...but when things are falling a part, that is the time to hold on to our faith and spiritual practice. 2- Some times what is God's will doesn't look like what we think should be His will. Maybe there was a reason you didn't do well. Maybe there was a deeper lesson involved. Go to the Guru and ask Him to help you understand what happened. 3- Some times in life things just don't make sense or seem fair. That is the time to go within and fortify your faith. The answers usually come, some times later, but if you maintain your faith and practice, the answers usually come, some times when we least expect it. 4- Some times it looks like God and Guru have abandoned us, but usually we have abandoned Them. I think you will feel much better if you reestablish your connection to your spirit. And ask that that connection can be deeper and not superficial. Our relationship with God and Guru is not a game of "If you do this for me, I will believe in you...or serve you." If that is your game, you will lose your connection for sure. But, if through all the thick and thin of life, you maintain your connection, you will feel a deep satisfaction and contentment. That conenction is Infinite...don't make it into a Finite game.
