Summary of Question:	I Want To Grow My Hair

I am a sikh male in high school. I currently cut my hair, but i want to grow it. I wanted to know how long my hair has to be. I am concerned about how i will look while I am growing my hair. My question is, is it okay to wear a turban until my hair is long enough to tie a juda or to I have to wait until then. Furthermore, I play contact sports and I want to know if it is practical to wear a turban while I play (i.e. is there a chance that it will come off if i get hit?) Please post this question. (REPLY) Sat Nam. You can tie a turban even while your hair is still short. That way, you will always look like a Gursikh! there is a way to tie what I believe is called a "battle turban" that should stay on even when playing sports. Remember, soldiers wear them in action. Perhaps someone else reading this can supply more detail. SP
