Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ke Fathae!

IF spirtuality can not be forced, or rushed, then what does one do, if thier partner has falling behind, on the matter of Sikh code of conduct. I fully belive when one is completely ready from with in then and only then does God gives us a chance to walk in it's direction. What can i do to make our journey more blissfull?

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Dear One, you have hit the nail on the head; you cannot force your partner to have the same devotion and practice as you, that must come from within. What you can do is pray. Pray to Waheguru that your partner recognize and honor his Sikh-ness, and that he remember and honor his own relationship to Guru. Do not try to program his life in your prayer, for you want your partner's highest truth to be lived.

Meanwhile, keep up your paath and naam simran. Do it without fail and from the heart. Do not pressure him to join you. Keep your home a Guru's home in this sense, and the Guru will have to cover the situation. Sooner or later the energy of your devotion is likely to effect some change. Put no time limits on it. Once in a while, you might ask your partner to join you in reciting paath or chanting the naam. Or once in a while, hold a small kirtan in your home and ask him to plan on joining /playing/singing with the sangat in kirtan.

I hope this helps. Guru rakha,
-DKK
