I am a 17 year old girl and have been doing classical kirtan ever since i was about 7 years old. the thing is i sing in mostly roopak taal, jhap taal, kaharva taal, teen taal and ek taal. i have learnt kirtan from many people who specialise in kirtan but now there are hardly any here in new zealand. i have books on how to learn shabads with all the notations and taans etc. etc. and there are some shabads in it with sool taal and char taal. i have an electronic tabla player but it doesn't have these taals in it. moreover, i can't program them in it myself since i don't know how these taals sound like. could you please put on an audio clip or something so i know how they sound like? any other relevant information would be very helpful indeed.

My dear,
You are doing great on your own studying kirtan.
On my Tabla machine I can so Sool Tal by setting it to the number 29 and then
doubling the speed. I am not aware of Char Taal on the tabla machine, but I do know for sure, that when I really want to learn something, eventually the opportunity comes.
