i have a very short question, what is reinswaye kirtan and how many other types of kirtan are there?

Sat Nam. I think what you mean is Ransubhai Kirtan -- which is the term for continuous kirtan played overnight. Most kirtan usually played in Gurdwara is "call and answer" style-- I think it's called Shabd Kirtan. The musicians, or "Ragis" sing one line, and then the sangat (congregation) repeats it). There are other forms, someone else may answer more fully. (By the way, tonight in New Mexico, the last night of the annual Summer Solstice Sadhana p in the Jemez mountains, co-sponsored by Sikh Dharma and 3HO, there will be a Ransubhai Kirtan.) Blessings, SP
