i have asked for your help but i did get no reply. i am a sikh girl who has just come out of a broken relationship.i really loved this man,but things happened in his life which made him marry someone else. i cant cope without him in life & still continue to see him.i know it is wrong.i want to stop.i ask God for his help but god is not answering my prays at all. are there any prays or something like that which will help me to get over this man.i really want god to help me.thank you.

(REPLY) Well, this is a case where "God helps those who help themselves." It's certainly painful when a relationship doesn't work out the way we want. But I think that the only way to get over your pain is to change your emotion to devotion -- that is, spend time every day meditating and praying for guidance and acceptance of the situation. You will get over this man, but it will take time. The time can be shortened if you concentrate on your own life - not his -- and really get a relationshp going with the Guru. By that I mean, spend time every day, if you can, reading from Siri Guru Granth Sahib. This will give you perspective on life and relationships. NOTHING - no relationship lasts forever, and the only thing that is permanent is our relationship with God and Guru, so put your energy into that. Do you know the shabd 'DHAN DHAN RAM DAS GUR, JI SIRIAA TINEH SAVAARIA..."? Try reciting (or chanting or singing) that 11 times a day, and call on Guru Ram Das, the Lord of Miracles to help you.
