Greetings to you.
The Siri Guru Granth Sahib is divided into 6 sanchi's. You did not say if you have all the sanchi's or just one.

You can keep one or many Sanchi's in a clean high place that is separate.Have a special shelf in the closet or a special shelf in the room with the sanchi on it with any other nitnems you may keep. You can also make a special alter in the room for your sanchi. You must decide what is most respectful for the space that you have. Doing path from a sanchi should be just as powerful as doing path froma full Siri Guru Granth Sahib. The power is in the Bani. The Bani is the same.

You can take a hukam from a sanchi and you can do a sehej path or an akhand path. You should get a wooden folding book stand to use for holding the sanchi when you want to take a vaak or do some reading from the Sanchi. Be sure that you cover your head and wash your hands before reading. You can set it up and bow like it is the Guru when you want to read from it. You will create a sense of reverence and grace around your Sanchi when you use it regularly.

God bless you.
