SAT SHRI AKAL

I REALLY HAD A BAD DREAM YESTERDAY NIGHT OR MAYBE THIS MORNING.

THIS DREAM WAS LIKE MY FATHER WAS DYING BECAUSE HE WAS COUGHING EARLY IN THE MORNING AND SOME PEOPLE CAME TO TAKE HIM AWAY...BECAUSE I DUNNO HE WAS COUGHING...BUT THEN AFTER SOME TIME IN THE DREAM I SAW BLOOD IN THE ROAD...I WAS LIVING AT THE TOP FLOOR...WHEN THE PEOPLE WANTED TO TAKE HIM SOMEWHERE,HE WANTED TO TALK TO ME MY SIS AND MY MOM BUT THE REST WERE SLEEPING ONLY I WAS HALF AWAKE...BUT I WAS TIRED AND THAUGHT IT WAS NORMAL..AND DIDNT REALIZE THE PEOPLE COMING IN THE HOUSE....HE WAS COUGHING AND SAYING SOMETHING TO THE PEOPLE THAT LET ME TALK TO MY FAMILY..AFTER A WHILE I WENT IN THE BALCONY I SAW THAT THERE WAS NOTHING ONLY BLOOD ON THE ROAD...
THEN LATER FROM THOSE PEOPLE I FOUND OUT THAT HE PASSED AWAY THEY TOLD ME THAT HE USED TO INJECT SOME PAIN KILLER SOMETING STARTING FROM S....THAT WAS A DRUG..HE ABUSED THAT DRUG....THATZ WHY HE PASSED AWAY.....I REMEMBER THAT IT WAS CALLED SOMETHING FROM S BUT I FORGOT.....BUT IT IS VERY WIERD I READ ABOUT THAT DRUG....i know it is bad!

ANYWAYS CAN U TELL ME WHY I HAD THIS DREAM ABOUT MY FATHER PASSING AWAY????
AS I LOVE MY FAMILY VERY MUCH WHAT CAN I PRAY FOR MY FAMILY...NOT JUST MY FATHER THE WHOLE FAMILY....I DONT WANT TO LOOSE ANYONE....
AND DOES DREAMS HAS TO TO ANYTHIGN WITH REAL LIFE???????
GOOD DREAMS OR BAD DREAMS?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. don't worry about that dream, it's just mental nonsense. Dreams are not reality. They are workings of your intellect, and don't necessarily mean anything! They are made up of bits and pieces of information and input that you've recieved from many different places and they get all mixed up in the subconscious and come out as some stupid scenario during sleep. If you want to avoid bad dreams, make sure you don't eat for a couple of hours before going to bed, do drink a glass of water, and read Kirtan Sohila at bedtime, and ideally, put on a CD or auto reverse tape of shabd to feed your subconscious some positive vibrations while you sleep. You might even do some chanting before sleep, and best of all, start each day before dawn with chanting God's name and going to Gurdwara to take a Hukam. Blessings, Sp
