Sat Sri Akal,My question to you is does Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji talk about the Origin/Evolution of Mankind in any way and if it does what does it say?

And Can you also explain to me IN DETAIL what does the 8400000 birth cycle mentioned in Sri Guru Granth Sahib really means?
Forgive me, If my questions offend you or seem amatuerish.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Guru Nanak explains in Japji Sahib, which is the opening sequence of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, how God created everything. How this fits in with the Darwinian debate, I can't say, but as for the eight point four milliion lifetimes, it refers to incarating in all the various life forms and species, including fish, animals, birds, etc. (egg born, sweat born) (not necessarily in that order) until the soul is privileged to incarnate in human form. And then there can be many human incarnations until we consciously re-unite with Akal Purkh merging, expanding back into the Infinite (from which we came in the first place.) All things come from God, and all things shall return to God, eventually, including us. SP
