just wantd to no..what is the difference between indian wedding and a amritaries wedding..in one of the questions askd in the wedding section it says u dnt ave to wear jewwllery i understand this..bt wt do u realli ave to do on a sikh wedding.?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Please go to the home page of SikhNet and on the left hand side there is a link to the Sikh Dharma Manual. Go there and find the Sikh Wedding ceremony "Lavan." I think that should answer your question. As for "Indian" wedding, I don't know what you mean by that. As far as I know, the wedding of a Sikh who has taken Amrit, and one who has not is the same. Jewelry is neither required nor forbidden in a Sikh wedding. SP
