dear sat nam wahiguru am i discrace to the sikhi religion by wanting to cut my hair?

Sat Nam! It's not about doing something because you are "supposed" to do it. It's about experiencing and understanding the meaning and significance of it within yourself. Your hair isn't about being "pretty" or stylish. It's a part of your body that has a purpose and a function. If you were supposed to have short hair, it would stop growing all by itself. Everyone has exactly the amount of hair they are supposed to have. When it grows out to the correct length for you, it stops all by itself. Just take care of your hair. Wash it and comb it and appreciate it. It is a gift.
