Summary of Question: | How To Keep Long Hair Healthy, Any Remedies? |

I am a Gursikh girl and I have long hair and i am very proud of it, i would like to keep it long. But over the last few years my hair has consistently become thinner. I do not leave it open, previously i used to braid it only but now i braid it and put it in a bun, covered by a bun net. I started using herbal shampoos only, i am even considering applying henna to my hair (but i dont want the colour on my hair.). My main concern is the thinning and split ends. I know this is not a religous question but i was hoping someone would be able to give me advice. Most people tell me that the only solution is to trim it (only an inch), another problem is that i have started swimming and i think the chlorine is not helping. I live in the UK so washing my hair everyday is not an option, i don't even use hair dryers. I would be very grateful if someone could give me some practical tips on what to do. Also, which oil to use.

I use almond and rosemary oil on my hair and scalp. I brush my hair well in the evening and morning. I keep my hair up and covered. Split ends will repair themselves if they are not exposed to the elements. Use a mind shampoo. I suggest that you also see a naturpathic ayrvedic doctor. Your body may be missing some important minerals or vitamins, which contribute to your hair health. Good luck. GTKK
