Dear One:
Sat Siri Akaal. No, it is not greedy to ask for help in addressing your problems. We bow to Guru, and Guru is our mother father sister brother.

However, there are several things to consider. One, your problems represent karms or lessons to learn. So you must ask yourself what Guruji wants you to learn and understand about yourself, life, and living as a Sikh.

Two, what are you doing to help yourself resolve your problems? By this I mean are you also taking positive action in keeping with Sikhi to resolve the problem? We ask Guruji for guidance in living our lives and ask him to arrange our affairs, but Guruji has trouble doing this for us when we don't open our lives to His help, and indicate by our actions how ready we are for that help and guidance.

Three, there is a saying in the West: The Lord works in mysterious ways. His Plan cannot be understood. Just because your prayers have not been answered YET doesn't mean they won't be. Our faith must be solid that Guru is there for us. If we doubt then we create a psychic situation of doubt that interferes with knowing Guru's guidance. So keep up your prayers and paath and add Naam Simran to your practice. Regular practice of the Naam removes all doubt and will give you a peaceful mind.

Be careful what you pray for, you just may get it! Guru Rakha,
