hi i was just wondering, i've heard alot of people calling Gurdwaras "Guru ka ghar" is this the right term? i thought Gurdwara meant "Gur" for Guru and dwara for "door" Gurus door. is "Guru ka ghar" an appropriate term to referring to Gurdwara?

Sat Siri Akaal. I don't think there is anything wrong with this other name. Guru Ka means the Guru's or "Of the Guru" and "ghar" means house. So it means Guru's house. Your translation of "Gurdwara" is correct.
