Waaheguru Ji Kaa Khalsa

Waaheguru Ji Kee Fateh
I haven't got the answer of my previous quesion for over a month now. Hope to get answer to this question.
I was Baptized about 15 years back when i was just 6 yrs. old. I am always interested in doing Sahej Paath because in this way you come to know what your guru teaches you. I was told my parents that end the Paath at Mundavni and dont read Raagmala. Being Confused, I started reading few books on Raagmala that were in my house including one article by Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Ji. I was totally satisfied by Bhai Sahib's writings that Raagmala is not a Bani and wrriten by Mahants later on to infuse controversy in sikhs.

Few Days Back, I heard from someone that sikhs from Damdami Taksal say that those who do not read Raagmala will have insects in their mouth. To tell them, I dont have got insects in my mouth in last 15 years nor do my parents in the last 19 years. (My parents were baptized around 19 years back).

I just want to know that do they people have right to say such harsh language. They may be right and we could be wrong. Only God Knows. But do they have any proof about this?

What is your personal view about Raagmala?

Forgive me for anything wrong by me.

(reply) Sat Nam. Well, you asked for a personal view, and this is mine: When I read the sloks of Guru Teg Bahadur, to end the Akhand Path, I always include the Raag Maala. I enjoy it. It feels complete and beautiful, and the whole experience is a blessing. As for the other comments you mentioned, I'm not famiiar with them, but I assume, they are intended as a metaphor. Why they were made, I don't know -- and frankly am not concerned. For me, the important thing is my personal experience of reciting the words in Siri Guru Granth Sahib, which over the years has changed my life. Blessings, SP
