I'm one of those Sikh converts who just always ends up causing trouble because of my red hair and white skin.

Please, everyone... let's not get caught up in this "racial purity" hogwash. I wonder if the original individual who posted the Sikh convert thread knows just what horrific damage such teachings can cause. We have in the United States organizations like KKK, Aryan Nations and the so-called "Christian Identity" movement, which use Christian scripture to justify the hatred and persecution of non-whites. And this is just the tip of the iceberg; sixty years after the end of the Second World War, descendants of Holocaust survivors carry mental illness that started in the camps where Jews, Poles, Roma, dissenters, gays and the disabled-- you know, all those "impure" people-- suffered at the hands of Hitler. I want you all to think about this... of the Jews alone, SIX MILLION died in the name of "racial purity." That is a figure only slightly larger than the population of Toronto, Canada. Six million. Do you want to keep this kind of hate in your heart? Sure, you won't be building any gas chambers. But would you slap down a person who wants to turn to God, just because of skin? That skin that God created and gave him? Because if you do that sort of thing, it'll not only turn that soul from God, it'll make the Sikhs collectively look like a community of jerks.

It pleased my Divine Creator to make me a Pole, for whatever the reason. It also pleased Him to lead me to the teachings of Sikhi. We were made by the same God, so why should He turn me away for skin? Let's just stop hating and learn to appreciate our differences. Please. This world of ours is never going to improve otherwise.
