I keep posters of Patrick Rafter, Mats Sundin, and other athletes in my room. I don't idolize any of the individuals, but keep the poster as inspiration and for decorative purposes. Is this ok?

Yes that is okay, as long as you don't idolize them or lose your true inspiration, which should be according to the will of the Gurus.
