Summary of Question:	What And Why Do We Do Hukamnama

I just wanted to know the relevance of the Daily Hukamnama. We all should be aware of the 5 viles, isnt that all that the Daily Hukamnama states to avoid these?

And also why do we do the Daily Hukamnama?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. We need daily guidance and specific instructions from our Guru, so that we can meditate on the direction and attitude our actions should take for that day. We are truly blessed when we can receive a daily Hukamnama. Yes, the overall message is that there is One God, and we should repeat His Name with every breath, and live righteously. If we were all enlightened beings, all we would need would be the Mul Mantra! But Guru Nanak elaborated on that to create Japji Sahib. But despite the fact that it contains all the wisdom in the world, still, we limited human beings need the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, and all the guidance and instruction it gives us, because we are (most of us)unable to break loose of the hold of maya, so we need constant reminders, expressed in many different ways to penetrate into our consciousness and wake us up to reality.
