i see alot of posts of young children complaining they are made fun of school; they have no pride left in their sikhi because they are given the wrong advice; in the 1980s when hindus dropped cigarrettes outside sikh temples bhindrenwale responded by throwing a cow into a hindu temple......noone is allowed to disrespect the kesh of guru gobind singh, and the worst thing to do is ignore it; the wrong advice is being given by the mods, we should be telling our youth to stand up and sort out the manmukhs physically - beat them up and show them not to mess about with sikhs and keep the prestigious title of sikhi untarnished.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. There are situations where of course, it is righteous to "take up the sword" as Guru Gobind Singh taught, but "only when all other means have failed." You have your opinion, but frankly, we don't want to advocate violence as a solution to anything. Violence these days simply breeds more violence. As Sikhs we do believe in self-defense, and each individual situation requires thoughtful decision as to how to respond. But we don't want to simply say "beat up on anyone who teases you." so, thank you for your comments, but we are trying to uplift and educate, not lower our consciousness to that of force being the right or best answer. blessings, SP
