please you could you tell me why we must cover our hair in the gudwara. Also i am very upset about the way sikhi is becoming dilute by social compromise and ritual practice but i have heard of something called the ramgharia movement and was wondering if you could tell me what that was. Thankyou.

Greetings and Blessings to you.

First of all, we cover our Head in Gurdwara not our hair. This head of ours contains our crown center, the highest place on our body plus the home for our mind. So, by covering our head we dedicate our mind and surrender it to the source of our upliftment, our consiousness through this act of covering or containing our thoughts. We are consciously directing our awareness to the Guru....the source for us of our guidence to linking our minds to be conscious of our infinity.

Good question. Practices become diluted when there is no understanding. When we stand under something, like the Guru, we are trying to understand. So, good for you to be seeking understanding. A true Sikh is one who does seek the truth.

Ramgharia is the carpenter class just as Jatt is the farmer class.

God bless you, SKKK
