I am living in USA. I reaently heard Baba ranjit singh dhandrian wale. so many poeple like to listen to him. i went to gurdware to listen to him.But I don't understand which bani they are doing. Its not writen in SGGS beacuse its very easy to understand. I know myself i always look for meaning of bani. So i asked someone in gurdware sahib, he told me "this baba ji is doing kachi bani same as BABA MAAN Singh ji. Is he doing rite. Are we allowed to do kachi bani. thanks

Sat nam. Here is some clarification from a Punjabi Professor of Sikh Studies:
"Beyond Bani everything replicating Bani is kachi Bani. It was being written by parallel institutions such as Mehabaan like persons. One reason for compiling SGGS was this (so that Sikhs would know which Bani Guru approved). Though every thing reached us is in divine scheme & secret of the same is with Guru. Songs are kachi Bani but if as literature & that too approved by local sangat is ok, keeping in view the Granth & Panth."

Sat nam. Pakki bani is Guru Granth Sahib plus Bhai Gurdas' work. All else is Kachee. It does NOT mean that what Baba Ranjit S is saying/doing is wrong or goes against Siri Guru Granth Sahib. I cannot say. But listener beware, since it is not from Siri Guru Granth Sahib or Bhai Gurdas ji's bani. Guru ang sang,
