can i as a singh eat meat. so people say yes but do not eat beef as it comes from a cow and a cow is a animal that provides us with milk.

some peopel say NO do not eat meat at all.
some say eat meat only if there is nothing else availbe.
which is right?

tell me the answer with a quote from the Guru Granth Sahib

There is no one line in Siri Guru Granth Sahib that will say to eat meat or not eat meat. However, if you follow the dietary guidelines of the Guru's Langar...you will never find meat fish or eggs being served.

If you would like some scientific and tecnological reasons for why we do not eat meat, do a search on the youth forum for the word "meat".
