why god is so cruel towards our sikh GURUS

Sat nam. People are cruel to each other, not God to people. Those inflicting cruelty are not in touch with their souls/divinity, or have denied it. People fighting wars for political and religious control over others are often cruel; just read the international news!
Our gurus suffered to (1) burn their karma and (2) be an example to Sikhs that dying for freedom of faith takes precedence over living under religious or other oppression.
