(REPLY) Traditionally, you would not say anything to the girl until you speak with her parents. Statistics indicate that marriages have a greater chance of success when husband and wife share the same religious beliefs. However, there is no lawprohbition against a Hindu and a Sikh marrying. One big question is, how will you raise your children? Sikhs also respect all religions, and historically in some families there have been both Sikh and Hindu followers. By the way, I don't know how old you are, and when you say "love" -- if you are just infatuated with her, that is really, really attracted to her, admire her etc. Being "in love" is sometimes different from really loving. Because real deep love that can hold a marriage together requires a real commitment to be willing to sacrifice to make your partner happy and build a family and make it a success. I wish you well.
