Sat Siri Akal.
There's nothing in the Reht Meryadya that would prevent Rahinsewai Kirtan (all night kirtan.) And, in fact, the Guru instructs us time and time to again to ever meditate and be with the SOund Current of Gurbani because, in this way, we train our minds to tune into the all-pervading virbation of the Divine. Doing an all-night kirtan program, or a 24-hour kirtan program is a wonderful way to give people in the community an experience of being immersed in the Naad of the Gurus. It can be a very cozy, beautiful and uplifting experience.
Being a Sikh means having no fear of anything. Sometimes we get caught up in what is "allowed" or "not allowed" - but the Guru teach us to be wary of practicing empty religious rituals. And it is important to remember that the Reht Meryadya is a community document that can be altered whenever the Panth chooses that it is appropriate to alter it. So - you are part of the Panth and your wisdom is part of what will guide the Panth forward.
All love,
