Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh.

How should one go about reading Siri Guru Granth Sahib?

I am thinking of reading Siri Guru Granth Sahib. How should I start? Do you need any training? I do my nitnam, so I know how to read the Gurbani.

Also, should I do it at home or it is better to do it at the gurdwara?

Morover, if there is "parkash" of babaji at home, could a drunker come to that home? I asked this because some of my family member drinks, so there be alcohol and meat at home...........

Reading from SGGS is good anytime anyplace as long as you are treating it with proper respect. At your home may be more practical, especially if you want to do a Sahej Path and read a certain number of pages per day.
I don't remember hearing stories of the Gurus being shy about where they went or worrying if someone might be drunk near them. The Gurus personified fearlessness and the SGGS is not going to be made less by who is near. The only thing to watch for is if the person creates an ungraceful environment around Baba-ji, then you have to protect it.
The Gurus spoke to everyone who wanted to listen, people who needed to be uplifted. They didn't wait until only perfect beings were around them before teaching. They would still be waiting. Guru's Bani is infinitely powerful. It can and should be recited anywhere, especially the worst places. Chardi Kala! Uplift All!
