Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa!

Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

I have tried but seems like no one knows the answer to my question. Is Dastaar a requirement for Amritdhari women. Your time and research will be highly appreciated.

God's blessing
Waiting for your answer.

Sat Nam,
Any Amritdhari person must COVER THEIR HEAD whenever in 'public'. Traditionally Amritdhari women are required to cover their head, but turban is not specified as the style of headcovering. However, of many styles of head-coverings turban/dustar/damalla all have a science behind them of stimulating the brain and holding the head together and are certainly the most sophisticated. Turbans are also part of the Guru's bana, and therefore are desireable to wear.
