Our religion teaches us to remember Waheguru with each of our breath. Breathing in, Breathing out.

And if we wish to follow this edict, then we cannot be worrying about what it is we are doing while we remember HIM.

We really cannot criticize any action that brings us closer to our realization of our Lord God within. If what you described, works for someone; then so be it. What's wrong with it?

Having said that, I would refer to the Guru Granth Sahib, where we are instructed to meditate in a state of "Savdhaan, Ikagar chit". While meditating, we need to concentrate.

But "meditating" and "remembering" are not the same things. When we meditate, we need to concentrate. Whereas rememberance is a continuous process.

There are physical and mental Yogic excercises. There is nothing wrong with these. And if can remember our Waheguru while doing the excercises, so much the better. Wouldn't you agree?
