I have a question. If Guru Nanak rejected Hinduism why did he marry a Hindu? Why were the marriages of his children arranged by him into Hindu homes?
(REPLY) Sat Nam. At the time that Guru Nanak married, there were no Sikhs, because Sikhs only came into existence when the people who learned from him, who were call his "sishyas" or students followed his teachings and they became the first Sikhs. It was apparently very common back in that century for their to be at least one child in every family who would be a Sikh in a Hindu family. there was mutual respect and acceptance. I hope that answers your question.
