This is a hard problem because it sounds like your father and uncle didn't make it clear at the time of the loan. You both have to decide whether to push for the interest. If you push and your uncle gets too upset, then the relationship could become very bad. If you don't care about that, then you should push. You have to decide whether the money is worth the relationship.
