i am an amrithari sikh and asoftware engineer in india.within next few weeks i will have to go to us for some projects of the company.i have heard that while travelling in air one has to take off hir kirpan.but being asikh we should not do so.so whats the solution?is our amrit broken if we take off kirpan while traelling in plane?please enlighten!!!!!!!

Your Amrit does not get broken by not wearing your kirpan. Your amrit gets broken by committing "kurehits" (smoking, drinking, adultery, drugs, meat).

You can wear a small kirpan symbol around your neck to complete your 5 kaka's. We do obey the rules as Sikhs. Pack your kirpan in your suitcase. You can put it back on when you leave the airport. This is totally understood and acceptable behavior for an Amritdhari Sikh.
