I suffer from anxeity in genral. As if it just walks with me. I tend to worry a lot(unecessary). I know this is not going to do any good to me and I try very hard indeed to get rid of it and I am succesfull some times but then again it catches on me. Please tell me which is the best way of getting rid of it for good.

Sat Siri Akaal Anu,
Anxiety is a clinical thing. It is not uncommon for people. Do you have a school or college counselor you can see about this, or a (family) doctor of some kind (homeopath, naturopath, or allopath)? First and foremost, get some kind of medical attention.

Also, the best remedy I can think of for anxiety would be daily naam simran. For the calming effect, you need at least 11 minutes but I would recommend 31. Chant the naam simran of your choice. Find someone to do it with you, if you can. This will calm your mind and over time should help your anxiety (you may not have immediate results generally). The other thing to do for your mind is deep long breathing, inhaling and letting the navel expand naturally, exhaling and letting it come in/contract naturally. For both the breathing and the chanting, sit with a STRAIGHT spine, cross legged on the floor or in a chair, or on a pillow cross-legged onthe floor. Sitting against a wall can help this. Cover you head for the naam simran as well. The naam is the cure for all ills. I have seen this in SGGS many times. Guru ang sang,
