(REPLY) Sat Nam. Usually as the couple walk around the Guru for each of the four rounds, very near and dear friends (I suppose you could designat them as "bridesmaids" and/or "groomsmen" )stand up surrounding the sides and back of the Palki Sahib to smile and put a kind and loving hand on the couple to assist them in their walk. You're not going to be walking down an aisle like in the movies, if that's what you mean, with an entourage following you! Look up the Marriage Ceremony (Anand Karaj) on the Sikhnet Website, for more details about what is supposed to occur. SP
