Summary of Question: | Abortion Allowed In Sikhism? |

I would think, unless its a result of some kindof foul playlike rape..,
one is going against God's will by resorting to the termination of pregnancy. Well, I can see that maybe if you are in am unstable situation, it can be considered to be better for the child in the long run as you might not be able to care for the child to your best ability but still, I think if you put your trust in God, He'll work out everything. Aren't we put in those kind of situations a lot of times in our lives and as a Sikh we are always asked to turn to God for help, (even if it requires a miracle) rather than run away from it.
Well, I am absolutely not trying to pass any judgement, I could be so wrong, but still I'll like to know if really Sri Guru Granth Sahib states the above about the abortion within 120 days?
Thanks.
(REPLY) Sat Nam. I do not believe the subject is mentioned in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, so it is a matter of personal decision. SP
