Thanks to Guru Ji's kirpa and to you all that i can do this seva.

Iv emailed you because i was asked a question by a friend, whose question i could not answer, but i belive it is an important question, the answer seemed to me to be a general common sense answer but i wanted your veiw.

Gurbani tells us alot about how bad the five vices are but ,
What do I do or say when i meet someone who is greedy or jealous about me?
How should i react or what would guru ji say i should do?

Hope i havent wasted any precious and valuble time!

Sat nam. We cannot control the five vices in others, only ourselves. Jealousy and greed towards others happens. The best thing to do is avoid the company of such people.
If that cannot be done, then ignore the jealousy and greed in them and treat them as if they are being compassionate and kind; be faultless with them, rather than defensive. It is our job as Sikhs to work on our own 5 vices and control them through the discipline of daily naam simran, paath, and seva. This will build our mental and spiritual strength to deal with the vices in others.
Sometimes, it may be appropriate to confront the person on their attitude, so that both sides put the issue 'out in the open' rather than potentially misinterpreting it through the filters of our mind.
Guru ang sang,
-DK
