(REPLY) Guru Gobind Singh was a great warrior, as well as a great Saint. He had courage and wisdom. And he always knew what was the best action to take in any circumstance. When a person is outnumbered, (or outweighed) it's stupid to fight if it can be avoided. Boys often think that they have to fight to prove their manhood, and they are often forced into it. A coward is one who does not uphold his values in the face of opposition. If you absolutely must fight, then go and get some training in martial arts - boxing , whatever, so that you can hold your own if necessary. There's an old saying I remember from my childhood, I don't know if it makes sense to you, but anyway, it popped into my mind: "He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day." Getting beaten up doesn't prove anything except that you become a victim. I would hope you can avoid that. BTW, why are they wanting to fight with you? Guru Gobind Singh did not believe in fighting for the sake of fighting, he said, "Only when all other means have failed is it righteous to take up arms." So can you try working out the difficulties with the boys who want to fight you? Best wishes! There's a great mantra for protection you might want to try Picture Guru Nanak on your right side as you chant AAD GURAY NAMEH, then see Guru Angad behind you as you chant JUGAAD GURAY NAMEH, see Guru Amar Das on your left side while you repeat SAT GURAY NAMEH and then in front of you, Guru Ram Das as you chant SIRI GURU DAYVAY NAMEH. (Of course you do this silently in public!) Blessings! May God and Guru stand by you. SP
