Sat Siri AKaal. Without laying blame, Guruji has given you this disease to pay off some karmic account from another time/life. This happens. I realize you are in pain, but understand that Gurbani is full of references that we create karma as we go the rounds of births and deaths. So, the first thing to do is accept this situation and make the most of it as you are able.
I am happy you are seeing a naturopath and getting medical help. I might recommend that consider acupuncture OR classical homeopathy as resources as well.
The other things that might help you through this:(1) stop complaining and accept that you have this. (2) Recite some paath or Gurbani for a little while daily. Meditation in your physical condition would be hard, but recitation shouldn't be. Just sit as comfortably as you can when you practice. Spend a little time every day on this. (3) I understand that university is a problem now and this has saddened you. Have you considered ONLINE study? I cannot recommend a place but there are legitimate learning centers online that can keep you engaged and learning and that might transfer credits over to a regular university when you are well. (4) no offense but the allopathic medical communiity does NOT have all the answers, which is why naturopathic, oriental and /or homeopathic doctors might be able to help where the allopathic cannot.
(5) have you researched your disease on the web and looked for treatment regimens (avoid 'wonder drugs'! that could be a hoax) or case studies of treatments using alternative medicines such as naturopathy? I am not saying diagnose on the web. I am saying see what's been done and then talk to YOUR doctor or naturopath about it. (6) Find a support group online or in your community where people who understand severe illness can give you moral and verbal support. Your doctor(s) should be able to help. Or call a local medical center or hospital and ask them. You might end up in a support group that is for a different, but equally debilitating disease. I am certain that there is some association out there that supports people with (various) colon diseases even if it isn't your illness. (7) get counseling if you cannot find a support group. If your family is not helping (and having a sick family member IS a stress, no offense), then find help outside. It does not have to cost money. If you are in the USA< call a local UNITED WAY agency and ask them to refer you for starters.
I hope this helps. Guru ang sang,
