Summary of Question:Kachee Bani Vs. Pakee Bani
Category:Gurbani

I was reading about the meaning of Naad from a previous question posted the sikh youth Q&A database and I came across a paragraph stating the difference between "kachee bani" and "pakee bani". The meanings of these two terms were not very clear to me and I'm wondering if you can provide me with some clarification. Does the Sri Guru Granth Sahib contain both kachee bani and pakee bani and if so, how do we distinguish between the two?

Thank You

Sat nam. Pakki bani is Guru Granth Sahib plus Bhai Gurdas' work. All else is Kachi. If I can find out more I will re-reply. Guru ang sang,
