Sat Sri Akal. Please let me know if it is acceptable for a bride to wear white clothes on her sikh wedding? What about cream? Does it need to be red? Thanks, M

Sat Siri Akaal. It is traditional in India for a SIkh woman to wear red or pink colors of dresses for their weddings. Why, I don't know. In the USA, MANY Sikh women wear white or cream for their wedding dresses. So no, it does not NEED to be red! In the USA, by the way, red or pink are both associated with love/the heart. Anyway, the color is much less important than the sincerity with which you bow before Guru to become one soul in two bodies in marriage!
Guru fateh!
