I applaud you for questioning the possibility of disrespect in a Gurdwara or school for Sikh children. I can tell you that our children have just returned from India for their summer break, and they invite you to come to the school to see for yourself that and these stories you have heard are absolutely not true. Many of the children's parents visit Miri Piri Academy, and we have a dedicated and stalwart staff of teachers and aides at the school who preside over a challenging academic curriculum and lifetime educational program. They hold Gurdwara each morning following early-morning sadhana when they recite their banis and meditate. They serve langar and learn to perform the appropriate protocol in Gurdwara in respect of Guruji and the holy Siri Guru Granth Sahib. During their school day their course cirruculum includes Sikh history, study of Gurbani, Rag Kirtan, Gatka, and conversational Punjabi. Please verify for yourself the next time you visit Hari Mandir Darbar in Amritsar, and come for a visit to Miri Piri Academy. Sat Nam. God bless you. -GMK
