I do apologise if this question has been asked before.
I'm just wondering if it is wrong to keep a Guru Granth Sahib Ji in the house. A wise man asked me what does gurdwara mean? I said its Guru Ka Kar. So ideally the Guru should be in a place where He is preserved properly. Its just that I love having Baba Ji in my house...it feels so complete and He is the reason my family took amrit last Vasaiki.
I would love your view on this because I am completely at loss at what to do!!
WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH!!!!
(REPLY) Many people keep the Siri Guru Granth Sahib in their homes. So long as you maintain a special place, a room set up like a Gurdwara with dignity and respect, and you do prakash and sukhasan daily, there is nothing wrong with having the Guru in your home. Look on the Sikhnet home page to see the protocol for setting up a Gurdwara. blessings, SP
