after reading the quran it is quite obvious to me that it is authentic in its claim to be revelation from god. and we learn the trails and tribulations that god put his messengers through from adam, noah, joseph, abraham to jesus and many more. all messengers were sent from god but god then tells mankind from the quran their will be no more messengers sent after mohammed and that the quran is his final scripture.

and so how can sikhism and the gurus be authetically chosen by god as his messengers when god has clearly revealed that their will be no more messengers after mohammed?

one could then doubt the authenticity of the quran but after studing it deeply this doubt soon becomes reversed.

Sat Siri Akaal. What is this need to prove that Sikhi or Islam are better than the other??? Both paths have Truth, both paths serve those who follow it, and don't forget that the Creator who created this Creation has had a hand in the development of both!

The Quran is a great scripture, but it is only ISLAM that believes that no other prophet will be sent after Mohammed. That is not what other faiths necessarily believe, and who is any of us to say those faiths are wrong? No single faith has the market cornered on Divine Truth. That is why there are so many paths people use to learn about and come to know God. As Jaap Sahib of Guru Gobind Singh illustrates, the Creator is SO VAST and unlimited and unknowable, that Sikhi, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, etc. all have some understanding of the Creator, and each has a different perspective on Divine Truth, but who is any of us to say that only one path is THE path or the Truth? None of us can say.

The 10 Sikh Gurus never described themselves as prophets; a prophet and guru and not necessarily the same type of person. The word prophet indicates one who foretells. Guru means one who takes you from darkness to light.

That said, I think that none of us can put limits on the Creator. If the Creator decides the planet needs another prophet--however He defines that person and no matter what faith that person is born to--then I have no doubt it will be so. Guru ang sang,
