Sat SIri Akaal. Sikhi is 'manmade' ONLY insofar as the Shabd Guru was revealed through the persons of 10 humans we call Gurus. Of course the Gurus 'talked' with God, but it is better understood as an inner experience of non-verbal communication with Akal Purakh, and not a conversation as we know it.
No one 'told' them to write Gurbani. Gurbani is an expression in poetic form of the EXPERIENCE of sahej and oneness with the Creator. Sahej means peaceful equipoise. We can talk about the meanings of these words forever. The experience of them is a different matter. Siri Guru Granth Sahib is Shabd Guru: Indeed it is the 11th Guru, but the Guru of all the 10 Gurus was always Shabd Guru. Some of the Gurus wrote bani, others did not. But all preserved the bani of those that came before and honored or revered it as the Divine Word.
