Summary of Question:Mool Mantar Correctly?
Category:Gurbani

Hi my name is Navjot. I have been thinking about this question for everytime I go to the guduwara? Some people say the mool matar consists of:

ik-oNkaar
sat naam
kartaa purakh
nirbha-o
nirvair
akaal moorat
ajoonee saibhaN
gur parsaad.

jap.

aad sach jugaad sach.
hai bhee sach naanak hosee bhee sach.

which i think is right. But on the other hand other people and other gurduwara practise it as:
ik-oNkaar
sat naam
kartaa purakh
nirbha-o
nirvair
akaal moorat
ajoonee saibhaN
gur parsaad.

I have been thinking about it because for many year at a guduwara they were practising it the way I think is correct (including jap aad sach jugaad sach.
hai bhee sach naanak hosee bhee sach) and a after a giani came and told them all of a sudden they changed it. It is making some people really upset and don't appreciate so I hope you help me answer this question.

Sat Siri Akaal. Mool mantar correctly includes everything you listed at top: "Nanak Hosee Bhee Sach" is the last line of Mool mantar.

I didn't realize this was the source of argument! The Aad such...etc. lines are like the affirmation and seal to the first part of the mantra. When you practice this mantar, use the whole thing. Guru ang sang,
