Summary of Question:	How Do You Say "Hello"

Hi, I was wondering why we don't have a literal translation for the world "HELLO". Kidha is "how are you" and sat sri akal is some GOD words. Why the HELL can't I just say hello, not some line about eternal truths or asking how you are, but just HELLO.

Sat Siri Akaal. So, what is wrong with acknowledging the divinity in another as a way to say hello? Say hello if YOU want. Or hi. Or howdy. Do what you want, but don't criticize the rest of us for using 'God' words in greeting. Perhaps you should ask yourself, in your heart, if SIkhi is for you.
