I am 28 years amritdhari sikh. Due to some reasons I hair have greyed prematurely. I am in a dilema whether to color my hair or not. My father colours his hair and looks younger to me. I have pressure from my family especially my wife who wants me to color my hair. I sometime get inferiority complex because of my excessive grey hair. I have taken medicines but it did not help.

What should I do?

Sat Siri Akaal. This happens, premature greying. If your hair is tied up in dashtar, what difference does it make? If your beard is also grey, then think of yourself as looking distinguished. The decision is YOURS, but coloring hair does not accord with being amritdhari. An amritdhari Sikh bows to Guru and ONLY to Guru, and Sikhs keep their form because it is what God gave them. That should answer your question. Just because Dad colours his hair is not a reason for you to. Do not let this become a divisive family issue. Stand up for what YOU believe and for the vow you took, and end the matter and refuse any more discussion.
