(REPLY) Sat Nam. Wahe Guru does NOT punish anyone. We punish ourselves, and guilt is one way we punish ourselves. It is a fact that the law of karma works: "as you sow, so shall you reap." If you want to be happy, sow seeds that will produce happy results! Obviously, commit to never repeating the thing that was "not good to do." Then, forgive yourself, and set a special time every day before 7 am when you sit and actually meditate or chant Gurbani Kirtan. You might do 31 minutes of DHAN DHAN RAM DAS GURU. Reading Jaap Sahib will bring you dignity, and a sense of self-worth. First step to happiness is commitment, commitment give you dignity, dignity gives you divinity,Divinity (recognizing that God lives and breathes in you, so you don't misuse God's power) gives you grace, and grace gives you the power to serve and sacrifice for others, and that brings happiness.
